Role overview The Senior Manager, Product Data Science & Experimentation is a key leadership figure within a Product Data Science organization, responsible for building and scaling a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists embedded across product domains. The role serves as a force multiplier for decision-making quality, raising the analytical, technical, and experimentation bar across multiple product areas that support a major online travel and experiences marketplace.
Responsibilities - Lead, develop, and grow a team of product analysts and data scientists with strong technical standards and clear ownership of impact. - Drive goal-setting, planning, and execution discipline across Product Data Science, including OKRs and prioritization. - Raise the bar for analytical quality, experimentation rigor, and applied data science across teams. - Act as a senior technical and strategic reviewer for high-impact analyses, experiment design, and advanced modeling. - Partner with senior Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial leaders to shape roadmaps and embed data science in decision-making. - Drive adoption of scalable analytical frameworks, experimentation standards, and AI-enabled tooling across product domains. - Build strong partnerships with Data Platform and Data Engineering, and remove systemic blockers to high-quality analytics delivery.
Requirements - Extensive experience in data science or a related quantitative role with a track record of supporting and influencing a product organization. - Expert proficiency in Python and SQL, with deep hands-on experience in statistical modeling, quasi-experimentation, multi-arm bandits, and machine learning techniques. - Demonstrated ability to define, implement, and operationalize product and feature-level metrics from scratch. - Proven ability to lead technical discussions, drive product strategy, and communicate complex insights to cross-functional partners. - Experience scaling analytics or data science capabilities through automation, self-service tools, or data products. - Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills with a background in building high-performing teams. - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Nice to have - Experience in a high-scale technology company, marketplace, e-commerce, or travel technology organization. - Background building and scaling experimentation platforms, measurement frameworks, or self-service data products. - Experience applying AI, large language models, or agentic automation to improve analytics productivity. - Track record of leading organizational change and raising analytical maturity across multiple teams.
