About this role

Role overview A senior-level Field Service Engineer role responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upgrade of a fleet of complex, life-sustaining organ care medical devices across an assigned territory. The position requires extensive travel—domestic and international on short notice—and emphasizes independent regional management to keep critical equipment performing safely and reliably at customer sites.

Responsibilities - Install, repair, and maintain organ care systems at internal and external customer locations, ensuring compliance and timely service. - Independently manage an assigned region, prioritizing devices and equipment to meet service-level expectations. - Complete service reports and documentation accurately and enter activity data into required databases promptly. - Maintain test equipment used during service activities and travel with service tool kits up to 50 lbs. - Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and professional on-site interactions. - Support other operational tasks as assigned, including non-routine service or project work.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of field service engineering experience, OR an associate/technical degree with 5 years, OR a high school diploma with 7 years. - Demonstrated ability to assemble and disassemble highly complex electromechanical systems. - Strong analytical troubleshooting skills for complex electromechanical devices. - Valid driver's license and valid passport, with the ability to travel up to 80% of the time on short notice, including nights and weekends. - Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Nice to have - Prior field service experience with complex medical devices in hospital settings. - Foreign-language skills and outstanding customer-interaction skills in clinical environments.
