Role overview
Own product direction for a portfolio of cloud-native networking, API management, security, and emerging AI gateway capabilities. This is a hands-on technical product role focused on understanding infrastructure practitioners, shaping priorities with engineering, and turning complex platform needs into clear, valuable products.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate product strategy, priorities, and roadmaps across networking and API platform capabilities. - Work closely with engineering and other product managers to turn customer and practitioner problems into well-scoped initiatives. - Engage with technical users, including infrastructure engineers and open-source practitioners, to understand workflows and unmet needs. - Balance usability, reliability, security, governance, and commercial impact when making product decisions. - Contribute to product discovery, requirements, feature prioritization, and launch planning. - Represent customer insight in discussions about API gateways, Kubernetes networking, AI infrastructure, and related platform services.
Requirements
- Strong technical fluency and the ability to work credibly with software engineers and infrastructure teams. - Experience owning product decisions for developer tools, infrastructure, platforms, APIs, or similarly technical products. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences. - Sound judgment about scope, trade-offs, sequencing, and the difference between customer requests and durable product opportunities. - Confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and support decisions with evidence and reasoning. - Genuine interest in the needs of engineers, open-source users, and hands-on infrastructure practitioners.
