Role overview
Help prospective and existing customers design, evaluate, and adopt solutions for cloud-native networking, API management, security, and AI infrastructure. As a field-facing technical partner, you will guide complex evaluations, connect customer requirements to viable architectures, and bring real-world insight back to product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and proofs of concept for enterprise customers. - Develop and refine reference architectures, evaluation methods, and repeatable technical sales practices. - Explain how API gateway, Kubernetes ingress, API governance, security, and AI gateway capabilities address customer problems. - Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, partners, and customer technical teams throughout the buying and adoption process. - Support strategic integrations, joint technical initiatives, and co-selling activities with technology partners. - Share field experience and customer feedback to influence roadmap priorities and product decisions.
Requirements
- Customer-facing experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, consulting, or a similar technical role. - Strong understanding of cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, networking, APIs, and enterprise software architecture. - Ability to work through complex technical evaluations and communicate clearly with sophisticated engineering teams. - Practical judgment for designing proofs of concept and mapping business needs to implementable solutions. - Comfort working across industries and with organizations that may already operate related open-source infrastructure. - Willingness to travel for conferences, company gatherings, and customer or partner engagements.
