Role overview
Lead the commercial relationship for a portfolio of strategic customers using track-and-trace, compliance, and related enterprise business processes. This senior account-management role combines field-based executive engagement with renewals, expansion, forecasting, and consultative selling. You will help customers improve compliance and operational performance while coordinating with broader supply-chain transformation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own account strategy and the full commercial lifecycle for assigned strategic customers, including retention, renewals, expansion, pipeline creation, and forecasting. - Develop durable relationships with executive, business, compliance, supply-chain, quality, and IT stakeholders. - Travel to customer sites, maintain a visible field presence, and lead in-person operational reviews, executive business reviews, planning sessions, and strategic account meetings. - Identify opportunities to introduce new track-and-trace and compliance-focused business processes that increase customer value and recurring revenue. - Maintain detailed account plans, opportunity records, forecasts, and commercial processes using structured sales methods and CRM systems. - Work closely with customer success, professional services, product, marketing, solution consulting, support, and other sales teams to coordinate outcomes and advocate for customer priorities.
Requirements
- Six to ten or more years of outside sales, field-based enterprise account management, strategic account development, or enterprise software sales experience with major accounts. - Demonstrated success managing complex customer relationships and protecting or expanding recurring software revenue. - Willingness and ability to travel, with the source indicating travel of up to 20% for onsite meetings and executive engagements. - Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders, including strong executive communication and presentation skills. - Strong commercial negotiation, account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline. - Proven ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and operate within structured enterprise sales methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare, supply chain, enterprise resource planning, or enterprise software. - Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance, product serialization, or supply-chain operations. - Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a comparable enterprise opportunity-qualification framework. - Experience working in complex, cross-functional commercial organizations.
Benefits and work setup
- Field-based role with frequent onsite customer engagement and travel of up to 20%. - Indicated United States base-salary range: $114,900-$152,600, with final compensation dependent on experience, skills, location, internal equity, and related factors. - Success is measured through revenue retention, expansion, adoption of new business processes, executive customer engagement, qualified opportunity referrals, forecast accuracy, pipeline quality, and process adherence.
