About this role
Role overview
This role owns the full acquisition-to-purchase funnel for a mobile-first subscription product that brings strangers together in real life across more than 60 countries, generating thousands of bookings daily across experiences like dinners, coffee, and drinks. The position is accountable for revenue from new subscribers and balances two outcomes: converting first-time intent into a paid booking and protecting lifetime value per subscriber. Reporting to the VP of Product, the role partners closely with Marketing, Data, and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own conversion to purchase and lifetime value per subscriber across mobile app and mobile web, treating total revenue from new subscribers as the north star rather than conversion rate in isolation. - Map the path from first landing screen to completed payment end to end, identify where intent is lost, and prioritise fixes by revenue impact across iOS, Android, and web. - Design and refine the onboarding flow, defining what is asked of new users, in what order, and how the answers feed matching, while reducing friction to a first booked seat. - Lead paywall, pricing, and packaging strategy across markets and currencies, including trials, offers, upsells, and win-back, balancing first-purchase conversion against renewal quality. - Run a continuous experimentation programme with pre-registered hypotheses, adequate power, and downstream evaluation against attendance, renewal, and LTV. - Coordinate web-to-app continuity, channel-specific onboarding variations, and the handoff of activated users into the wider product experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, growth, or lifecycle roles with direct ownership of a consumer subscription funnel. - Demonstrable conversion-rate and revenue improvements in a consumer mobile product. - Hands-on ownership of paywall and pricing experimentation, including subscription economics and elasticity. - Strong funnel analytics skills, including behavioural data, payment data, and independent querying. - Practical knowledge of how iOS, Android, and mobile web differ as business surfaces. - Fluency in English and the ability to operate cross-functionally without line authority, including working directly with founders.
Nice to have
- Marketplace or supply-constrained business experience. - Experience with a product whose value is delivered offline. - Operating across multiple markets and currencies.
