About this role
Role overview This is a Growth-focused Product Manager role on a small, high-impact product team that partners closely with Engineering, Design, and Analytics to shape a two-sided marketplace. The mission centers on increasing lifetime value for both consumers and service professionals by building new 0-to-1 experiences and optimizing existing ones that help people complete home projects and grow their businesses. The team emphasizes radical ownership, a strong bias for action, and outcome-oriented thinking with minimal administrative overhead.
Responsibilities - Own a significant portion of the product experience and be accountable for the resulting business outcomes. - Run user research and lightweight experiments to scope, validate, and prioritize product initiatives. - Turn ambitious, loosely defined ideas into compelling product and business cases, secure resources, and lead execution against clear success criteria. - Treat deep user insights and learnings as a core metric, weighing them alongside traditional KPIs to guide smarter decisions. - Partner with marketing, engineering, design, data, and applied science teams to ideate, prioritize, and ship solutions for customers and professionals. - Drive high-impact initiatives from seed to scale, sunsetting or culling work that fails to meet success criteria.
Requirements - 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of launching consumer web or mobile products that users love. - Strong user-centric product sense and UX instincts, with deep empathy for end users. - Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills combined with solid business acumen. - Proven ability to collaborate across functions and drive alignment across multiple perspectives. - Outstanding written and verbal communication, including the ability to articulate complex customer problems precisely. - Comfort with and discerning judgment about AI as a product tool.
Nice to have - Experience working on two-sided marketplaces or growth-oriented product surfaces that balance consumer and supply-side needs. - Background blending 0-to-1 product building with iterative optimization of mature experiences.
Benefits and work setup - Expected salary range for candidates based in Ontario and British Columbia: $164,100–$212,300 CAD, calibrated to job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency. - Equal opportunity employer with reasonable accommodations available for candidates with disabilities during the application process. - Note that legitimate recruiters will never request money, banking information, or SSNs as part of hiring.
