Role overview Serve as a hands-on technical lead for Android-focused mobile engagements, acting as the primary engineering point of contact for clients while still writing code. The role balances strategic client-facing work with day-to-day team coaching, guiding delivery of high-quality, human-centered mobile experiences.
Responsibilities - Champion practices such as TDD, mobile architecture patterns, pair programming, and writing clean, reusable code. - Run or contribute across the full consulting and delivery cycle, from ideation through production evolution. - Help clients deliver platform-appropriate, seamless mobile experiences that feel native on Android. - Design solutions and select technologies within real-world constraints, making pragmatic tradeoffs. - Apply continuous delivery practices to improve software delivery speed and reliability. - Promote DevSecOps tooling and culture, shifting security left in the development process.
Requirements - Proficiency in two or more mobile development languages (such as Swift, Kotlin, Dart, or JavaScript), with hands-on experience using modern UI SDKs and frameworks (Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, Flutter, etc.). - Experience leading software teams using Agile, Lean, or continuous delivery approaches including TDD, CI, pairing, and infrastructure automation. - Working knowledge of mobile-specific concerns: vendor constraints, limited execution environments, disconnected operation, discrete release cycles, accessibility, and privacy. - Strong influencing and mentoring skills, with the ability to bridge product needs and technical implementation. - Comfort designing a technical vision tied to business value and resilient in ambiguous situations.
Nice to have - Familiarity with mobile DevOps and pipeline tools such as fastlane or Gradle. - Ongoing exploration of functional programming paradigms, modern UI patterns, or platform engineering.
