Role overview A senior React Native engineering role focused on building, maintaining, and enhancing cross-platform mobile applications. The position blends hands-on development with performance optimization, native module work, and close collaboration with engineers, designers, and customers in a remote setting.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native and Expo. - Optimize applications for performance, usability, and scalability across iOS and Android. - Debug and resolve technical issues to keep app behavior smooth on both platforms. - Track and apply updates from React Native, Expo, and underlying iOS and Android SDKs. - Collaborate with customers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver requested features. - Participate in code reviews and help maintain shared best practices across the mobile portfolio.
Requirements - Three or more years of professional experience building mobile apps with React Native. - At least one application shipped to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. - Strong expertise with React Native and the Expo ecosystem. - Solid grasp of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React fundamentals. - Experience with mobile performance optimization and debugging tooling. - Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to have - Familiarity with React Native Reanimated, Gesture Handler, and animation APIs. - Experience building Expo modules and custom native modules. - Knowledge of native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin or Java) development. - Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil. - Prior work on video processing, AR, or other multimedia-heavy applications. - Background working in an agency or consultancy environment.
