Associate Director / Senior Managing Consultant - Financial Services Operations & Technology

Role overview

Lead or deliver transformation work for financial institutions, with a focus on consumer banking, lending, and related operations and technology. Responsibilities - Assess current banking operations, design future operating models, and create practical implementation roadmaps. - Lead transformation programs, governance, and project management offices from strategy through execution. - Support technology-enabled change, including vendor assessment, implementation, and business readiness. - Develop client deliverables and executive presentations, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders. - Work across client business, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and risk teams; collaborate with AI specialists on delivery methods. - Help grow the practice through recruiting, new offerings, business development, thought leadership, and improvements to delivery. - At Associate Director level, own proposals and scoping, lead concurrent engagements, and develop senior client relationships.

Requirements - Consulting experience delivering business transformation for financial institutions. - Deep experience in retail banking, consumer lending, or credit cards, including servicing, collections, or default. - Experience leading large transformation programs in regulated institutions, including regulatory change, compliance, operational improvement, or remediation. - Ability to work across business and control functions and influence senior stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication. - Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. - For Associate Director candidates, experience leading consulting engagements and supporting business development.

Nice to have

Experience at a bank, lender, or financial institution; additional exposure to commercial banking, payments, or wealth management; or familiarity with AI tools. Curiosity about improving consulting delivery with AI is welcome.

Benefits and work setup

Travel to client locations may be required. Listed salary ranges are $180,000–$250,000 for Associate Director and $150,000–$175,000 for Senior Managing Consultant. Final level depends on qualifications and experience.
