Software Engineer: Infrastructure

Role overview An Infrastructure Engineer is needed to take ownership of the platform that powers a health-benefits product used by employees, employers, and partners. The role centers on reliability, security, and performance inside a regulated environment handling sensitive healthcare data, where every product team depends on the infrastructure designed and operated here. It is an end-to-end platform role suited to someone who can balance architectural decisions with hands-on operational responsibility.

Responsibilities - Own the health, performance, and reliability of production infrastructure across the full stack. - Make platform architecture decisions and shape how systems are built, deployed, and operated. - Design and evolve infrastructure using Terraform and modern cloud tooling. - Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and developer workflows so teams can ship faster and more safely. - Strengthen security posture across access controls, vulnerability management, and dependency hygiene. - Proactively identify and eliminate reliability risks before they affect customers.

Requirements - Hands-on experience operating production infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE systems. - A track record of owning critical systems end-to-end, from design through incident response. - Strong experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database in production environments. - Proficiency managing infrastructure as code with Terraform. - Sound judgment when weighing reliability, performance, and security tradeoffs. - A bias toward automation and measurable improvements in developer productivity.

Nice to have - Experience operating in HIPAA or SOC 2 regulated environments. - Deep PostgreSQL performance tuning or replication management. - Building internal tooling that lifts developer productivity. - Improving observability, incident response processes, or overall security posture.
