Product Engagement Manager

Role overview A Product Engagement Manager role at an early-stage, fully distributed healthcare technology company, focused on improving how members, employers, and brokers experience lifecycle messaging and product touchpoints. You'll diagnose where users get stuck and design, test, and ship improvements across email, SMS/RCS, transactional messaging, and in-product flows.

Responsibilities - Identify friction points for members, employers, and brokers across the journey and determine root causes. - Design, build, and test engagement and conversion experiments in Braze or comparable platforms. - Own the logic behind communications, including targeting, triggers, sequencing, frequency, and personalization. - Explore new engagement channels such as two-way messaging, RCS, personalization, and language preferences. - Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data when a problem calls for a solution beyond messaging. - Define success metrics, measure outcomes, and use learnings to prioritize what to build next.

Requirements - 5+ years in growth, product engagement, lifecycle/CRM, or a closely related role. - A track record of owning engagement or conversion metrics with shipped work that moved them. - Hands-on experience building and testing journeys in Braze or a similar platform. - Comfort using data to frame hypotheses, evaluate solutions, and iterate based on results. - Product-builder mindset with the judgment to know when messaging is the right fix versus a product change.

Nice to have - Experience across multiple engagement surfaces beyond email. - Working SQL or analytics skills to self-serve answers. - Background with complex customer journeys or multi-audience products. - Experience in healthcare, benefits, fintech, or other regulated industries. - Routine use of AI tools in day-to-day work.
