Job details
About this role
Role overview This position focuses on improving how users discover, understand, and act on a product throughout their lifecycle. The work blends product thinking with hands-on lifecycle marketing, owning the messaging and engagement systems that guide multiple audiences from first touch to long-term use. It is an opportunity to shape conversion and retention strategy in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
Responsibilities - Diagnose drop-off and friction points across the user journey, then design and ship interventions to address them - Build, test, and optimize lifecycle programs across email, SMS/RCS, transactional, and in-product channels - Own the targeting, triggering, sequencing, frequency, and personalization logic that powers outbound communications - Prototype new engagement surfaces such as two-way messaging, RCS, language preference flows, and richer personalization - Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data when the right answer lies beyond messaging - Define and track engagement and conversion metrics, using experiments and qualitative insight to guide what gets built next
Requirements - 5+ years in growth, product engagement, lifecycle/CRM, or a closely related discipline - A track record of owning engagement or conversion metrics and shipping work that demonstrably moved them - Hands-on experience building and testing journeys in Braze or a comparable platform - Comfort working with data to form hypotheses, measure impact, and iterate on results - Product-builder mindset with the judgment to know when a message can solve the problem versus when the product itself needs to change
Nice to have - Experience operating across multiple engagement surfaces rather than a single channel - Ability to write SQL or use analytics tools to answer questions independently - Background designing complex customer journeys or products serving multiple audiences - Familiarity with healthcare, benefits, fintech, or other regulated industries - Regular use of AI tools as part of personal workflow - An optimistic, resilient approach to ambiguous or fast-changing problems
Benefits and work setup - Estimated compensation range of $150,000 to $195,000 USD - Fully distributed team with high ownership and trust-based decision making - Hiring process designed to wrap up within roughly three weeks
