Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs (Remote in Germany)

Role overview This short-term freelance opportunity invites software testers based in Germany to run functional testing on a streaming application across Smart TVs during October and November. It is a remote, hourly-paid engagement focused on real-device quality validation rather than bug bounties, making it suitable for testers who want flexible, project-based work.

Responsibilities - Install the streaming app build on your personal Smart TV following provided setup instructions. - Execute structured test cases covering navigation, playback, login and account behaviour, subtitles, audio quality, content discovery, localization, and live-event flows. - Identify, document, and report defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, or screen recordings. - Provide qualitative feedback on usability issues and overall functional quality observed during each test run. - Track work and submit results through the assigned platform's defect-tracking interface.

Requirements - Must be at least 18 years old and physically located in Germany throughout October and November. - Comfortable navigating the application in German; native or bilingual German is preferred. - Own or have access to a Smart TV running Titan OS, specifically Philips, Vestel, or JVC models, and be able to confirm the operating system version before starting. - Available for roughly 30 minutes of account setup and able to commit to approximately 2 to 4 hours of testing per run, with occasional runs extending up to 12 hours and scheduling agreed in advance. - Prior software testing experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Nice to have - Willingness to complete a free preparatory course if you are new to functional testing. - Interest in ongoing freelance engagements with other global mobile and connected-TV app projects once this run concludes.
