Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs (Remote in Austria)

Role overview A short-term freelance opportunity for a software tester based in Austria to help validate a streaming application on Smart TVs running the Titan operating system. The role runs during October and November and involves functional testing across navigation, playback, account behaviour, localization, and related areas. Testers are assigned tasks through a dedicated platform and work fully remotely on their own schedules.

Responsibilities - Install app builds on the assigned TV device following provided instructions - Execute test cases covering navigation, playback, login and account behaviour, subtitles, audio, content discovery, localization, live events, and overall functional quality - Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, or recordings - Provide feedback on issues uncovered during each test run - Complete account setup and preparatory training before active testing begins

Requirements - Must be at least 18 years old - Must be physically located in Austria during October and November - Comfort navigating a streaming app in German; native or bilingual German preferred - Access to a Smart TV running Titan OS, including Philips TV, Vestel TV, or JVC TV models - Approximately 30 minutes for account setup and 2 to 4 hours per test run on average, with occasional runs up to 12 hours

Nice to have - Prior software testing experience (not required; free preparatory courses are offered for newcomers)
