Job details
About this role
Role overview Design the protocols that let consumer agents and vendor agents exchange requests and complete commercial tasks. You’ll shape how agents describe capabilities, verify identity, delegate authority, and record outcomes, while building the tools vendors need to connect.
Responsibilities - Define and document protocol contracts for intents, capabilities, identity, and transaction receipts. - Build SDKs and gateways for vendor agents to connect with consumer agents. - Implement scoped delegation, signed receipts, and auditable records to support dispute resolution. - Share implementation experience with standards communities working on agent protocols. - Work with security specialists to assess impersonation, prompt injection, and tool poisoning risks across agent boundaries.
Requirements - At least five years of backend engineering experience, including work on a protocol or SDK such as gRPC, OAuth, ActivityPub, MCP, or A2A. - Strong TypeScript skills and experience with Go or Rust for performance-sensitive gateway development. - Deep familiarity with at least one agent ecosystem or framework, such as MCP, A2A, OpenAI Apps SDK, LangGraph, or AutoGen. - Strong technical writing skills; RFCs, architecture decision records, and SDK documentation are part of the work. - Ability and interest to work fully remotely.
Nice to have - Contributions to an open standard or RFC. - Experience with cryptographic signing, decentralized identifiers, or verifiable credentials. - A developer SDK adopted by external teams.
