Job details
About this role
Role overview Sit at the seam between product design and frontend engineering, turning dense, multi-step workflows into interfaces that feel immediate and considered. The role is hands-on with both design tools and production code, focused on closing the gap between a polished mockup and the real thing in a user's hands.
Responsibilities - Prototype workflows in code (or in design tools wired closely to code) to test interaction patterns before committing to a final build. - Translate design specifications into production-grade, accessible, responsive interfaces. - Contribute to the design system: tokens, components, motion, and the documentation that keeps it usable. - Pair with product engineers and designers to refine information architecture for complex AI-driven flows. - Sweat the details: typography, spacing, transitions, and perceived performance.
Requirements - Strong portfolio of shipped product UI work, ideally spanning both design and implementation. - Fluency in HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript or TypeScript, and at least one component framework (React, Svelte, Vue, or Solid). - Working knowledge of Figma or equivalent, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping. - Solid grasp of accessibility (WCAG), responsive layout, and performance fundamentals. - Comfort working in tight feedback loops with designers, engineers, and product managers.
Nice to have - Experience with motion design, micro-interactions, or generative UI patterns. - Familiarity with design-token pipelines and component-driven development.
