Triage Analyzer- Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer supporting Nvidia

Role overview

This is a remote, W-2 contract opportunity for a Triage Analyzer supporting an Autonomous Vehicle Test team at a major technology company working on autonomous driving. The role centers on end-to-end problem analysis for issues reported during daily autonomous vehicle testing. It blends issue triage, root cause analysis, documentation, and collaboration across software and hardware engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

- Execute the full problem analysis workflow, including issue triage, root cause analysis, categorization, reporting, and summary documentation - Communicate with development teams to understand functional design and keep technical knowledge current - Develop documentation and tooling that supports issue analysis workflows - Collect test data from routine in-car testing and provide feedback on software performance after analysis - Collaborate with automotive software testing, software engineering, and hardware engineering teams to improve product quality

Requirements

- Technical degree in Electrical, Automotive, Computer, or Software Engineering (or a related field) with 3+ years of relevant experience in automotive or autonomous driving - Knowledge of vehicle systems, autonomous driving systems, autonomous driving functions, and design - Experience working with Linux - Proficiency in Python, Java, or another programming language - Self-motivated learner who is comfortable embracing rapid technology evolution - Strong communication skills

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with vehicle testing, including the ability to implement in-car testing on request - Direct experience with issue triage in autonomous driving contexts - Linux development and software programming experience - Background in software testing or development for autonomous vehicles or autonomous driving systems
