Senior Strategic Solutions Architect

Role overview A senior architectural leader guiding large-scale digital transformation programs for life insurance and annuity carriers. The role blends enterprise architecture strategy with hands-on client advisory, shaping how modern platforms integrate with legacy policy administration, distribution, underwriting, and data systems. It is a consultative position that pairs technical depth with executive-level communication across complex, regulated environments.

Responsibilities - Define and steer the architectural strategy for client implementations, aligning solutions with each carrier's enterprise architecture, digital roadmap, and long-term modernization goals. - Evaluate integration patterns and tradeoffs across policy administration, distribution, CRM, underwriting, and enterprise data platforms, including legacy infrastructure. - Act as a trusted technical advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, and business leaders, translating operational and business objectives into scalable architectural designs. - Lead technical discovery and due diligence, then produce solution architectures that balance client needs, product capabilities, and implementation feasibility. - Identify program-level risks, bottlenecks, and cross-system dependencies, partnering with delivery teams to keep designs practical and executable. - Contribute reusable solution patterns and industry insights that strengthen internal implementation frameworks and best-practice guidance.

Requirements - 10+ years in enterprise software architecture, technical consulting, or large-scale platform implementations. - Proven track record designing complex, integrated solutions spanning multiple enterprise systems. - Experience engaging directly with client executives, enterprise architects, and cross-functional delivery teams on major transformation programs. - Strong grasp of enterprise architecture and integration patterns, including API-driven and event-based approaches on modern SaaS or cloud platforms. - Working knowledge of data architecture concepts and enterprise data flows. - Background with SaaS or enterprise software in regulated industries is strongly preferred, ideally within life insurance or annuity ecosystems.

Nice to have - Deep familiarity with life insurance and annuity carrier technology stacks, including policy administration, distribution, or customer engagement platforms. - Understanding of carrier operational processes such as policy lifecycle, distribution management, and customer servicing. - Strong presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to align competing priorities across technical and business stakeholders.

Benefits and work setup - Base annual salary range of $175,000–$205,000 USD. - Periodic travel to client sites for workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic planning sessions. - Collaboration across delivery, product, and engineering teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
