Remote job
Product Manager - Strategic Partner Integrations (Bay Area based)
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own the product quality and ongoing success of a focused portfolio of strategic partner integrations for a developer platform. This is a hands-on product role centered on developer experience, API and authentication surfaces, architecture decisions, and close collaboration with partner engineering teams. The work combines product judgment with enough technical depth to guide implementation through design discussions, integration reviews, and pull requests.
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes for a small number of strategic integrations, from initial design through adoption, iteration, and long-term quality. - Speak regularly with developers using the integrations, identify friction in real-world workflows, and turn those findings into a focused roadmap. - Define the appropriate division of responsibilities between the platform, each partner, and joint implementation work. - Work directly with partner engineers on architecture, authentication, data exchange, APIs, SDKs, documentation, and implementation details. - Use product signals and developer feedback to prioritize improvements rather than simply following partner-requested features. - Build with the same platform surfaces you own so decisions are grounded in firsthand use.
Requirements
- Experience shipping integration or platform surfaces that other companies’ systems build against, such as APIs, identity flows, authentication, or developer-facing infrastructure. - Ability to reason about how independent systems should authenticate, exchange data, establish trust, and balance openness with appropriate constraints. - Sufficient technical fluency to read architecture documents, follow design discussions, and ask precise questions of engineering teams. - A strong bias toward practical delivery: comfortable shipping secure, useful iterations while learning from usage and feedback. - Demonstrated ability to work closely with developers and convert observed problems into product decisions. - Comfortable working asynchronously, making decisions in writing, and using AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and synthesis.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with machine-to-machine authentication, agent or worker sandboxes, developer tooling, or related emerging platform primitives. - Experience building or operating products that span multiple independent technical ecosystems.
Benefits and work setup
The role requires being based in the San Francisco Bay Area; relocation and visa sponsorship are not provided. The broader organization works fully remotely and asynchronously, with a coworking allowance, equity participation, a technology budget, health coverage, an annual education allowance, and company-wide off-sites.
