Director - Technology Operations - Healthcare

Role overview

A Director-level technology leadership role owning enterprise infrastructure and information security for a growing healthcare revenue cycle management organization. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the position combines strategic planning with hands-on oversight of networks, cloud, and end-user technology across distributed service centers.

Responsibilities

- Lead the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise technology infrastructure - Serve as the primary escalation point for technology issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution - Oversee network design, virtual desktop environments, and end-user technology across service center locations - Guide help desk strategy, SLAs, performance metrics, and third-party vendor partnerships - Develop and maintain an enterprise information security and risk management program, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning - Ensure ongoing compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable healthcare regulations - Lead multiple AI and automation initiatives across the technology organization - Continuously assess security risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats and drive mitigation strategies - Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business growth priorities

Requirements

- 7+ years of experience in network infrastructure, systems operations, and help desk support within healthcare environments - 3+ years leading teams, vendors, or enterprise technology programs - Prior IT healthcare strategy oversight, including management of distributed technology teams across multiple locations and time zones - Significant healthcare experience with strong HIPAA and HITECH knowledge - Hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud security controls, identity management, and hybrid infrastructure environments - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, approachable leadership style

Nice to have

- Technical experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Microsoft SQL, or virtual desktop infrastructure platforms - AI or automation implementation or governance experience - Experience managing teams in a global environment - Healthcare revenue cycle management background - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent leadership experience in a healthcare IT role
