Specialist Solutions Architect, Billing

Role overview A specialist-level solutions architect role centered on billing platforms, partnering with technical and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into well-architected implementations. The position is remote and serves as a trusted technical advisor on billing integrations, pricing models, and revenue workflows at scale.

Responsibilities - Guide customers and internal teams through the design and implementation of billing architectures, including subscription, usage-based, and hybrid pricing models - Provide deep technical expertise on invoicing, revenue recognition, dunning, tax handling, and payment orchestration patterns - Partner with engineering and product teams to surface customer feedback and influence platform roadmap decisions - Build reference architectures, integration guides, and proof-of-concept implementations - Lead technical discovery sessions, demos, and architecture reviews with stakeholders of varying technical depth

Requirements - Substantial experience as a solutions architect, sales engineer, or technical consultant in billing, payments, or a closely related fintech domain - Strong programming or scripting skills with the ability to read code and build working integrations - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and executives - Familiarity with public cloud platforms, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems - Comfort working remotely and engaging stakeholders asynchronously across time zones

Nice to have - Hands-on experience implementing subscription management or revenue automation platforms - Background supporting high-volume transaction processing systems
