About this role
Role overview This is a technical consulting role supporting higher-education institutions that run the Ellucian Colleague ERP, with two specialization paths: programming and development, or system administration and integration. The consultant works directly with clients on implementation, configuration, integration, and ongoing support, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Travel up to 10% is expected for on-site client engagement.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with clients to implement and configure the Colleague software suite and connected applications - Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and ensure alignment with business processes - Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for the Colleague system, resolving issues promptly - Manage multiple project timelines and deliverables, setting priorities and ensuring milestones and client expectations are met - Develop innovative solutions to a wide range of technical requests across the software suite
Requirements - Strong functional and technical understanding of Ellucian Colleague, with the ability to configure, extend, and integrate system capabilities - For the programming track: ability to work with or learn Envision and UniBasic, plus JavaScript, React, and PostgreSQL for Ellucian Experience SDK card development, Data Connect, and Insights - For the administration track: experience with Colleague system administration, backups, updates, monitoring, and release installations - Proficiency with Colleague Self-Service, Envision, Workflow, ELF programming, and Colleague Studio - Customer-centric communication style and the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable terms
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with data conversion and migration, including SaaS migrations - Advanced SQL skills for data queries, manipulation, and reporting - Configuring and troubleshooting REST and SOAP API integrations - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and SaaS deployments - Single Sign-On implementation experience using SAML or OAuth - Familiarity with Ellucian Ethos tools, including Experience card development, Data Connect pipelines, Intelligent Processes, Insights, and the Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP)
