PostHog Consultant

Role overview

Implement and improve PostHog analytics so teams can understand user behavior, measure product performance, and make better growth decisions. The role combines analytics consulting, instrumentation and data integration, dashboard development, stakeholder communication, and enablement. You will work across product, marketing, engineering, and other functions to turn behavioral data into clear recommendations and measurable action.

Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and continuously optimize PostHog, including event tracking and data collection processes. - Build and refine AARRR funnels to monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement. - Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that make important metrics accessible to stakeholders. - Analyze user behavior and translate findings into practical recommendations for product and business teams. - Integrate analytics with CRMs, marketing automation systems, and other tools to create a more complete view of performance. - Train internal teams, provide troubleshooting support, and document effective analytics practices.

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with PostHog or a comparable product analytics platform. - Strong analytical ability and confidence interpreting complex datasets. - Experience connecting analytics platforms with other business or marketing systems. - Proficiency in SQL or another querying language. - Understanding of data visualization principles and reporting best practices. - Clear communication, presentation, collaboration, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

- Consulting experience supporting multiple clients, teams, or concurrent projects. - Background in product management, marketing analytics, or a related discipline. - Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy requirements.
