Senior Quality Engineer

Role overview Senior Quality Engineer role on a highly collaborative engineering team responsible for shipping reliable software in a cross-functional agile environment. The position focuses on building scalable test automation, integrating it into the CI/CD pipeline, and accelerating defect detection and prevention. Remote-first, open to candidates located anywhere in North America.

Responsibilities - Develop in-house automated and functional test scripts and tooling covering functional, system, API, integration, UI, and regression testing. - Collaborate with Platform, Product, DevOps, and other teams to deploy and run automated tests on test environments through CI/CD pipelines. - Provide timely test result feedback to the Platform Team, QA team, and other relevant stakeholders. - Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.

Requirements - At least 4 years of professional, hands-on test automation experience with API and UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or JUnit. - Knowledge of React, including adding data-testids. - Ability to explore codebases and use other technical tools to understand implementation. - Fluency in at least one of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. - Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems. - In-depth understanding of QA methodologies in a software company with short release cycles. - Experience writing test cases covering edge and negative cases, compatibility, and concurrency, using test case management tools such as TestRail. - Experience working with relational databases and hands-on SQL skills for querying large data sets.
