Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior individual contributor position focused on the end-to-end commercial product experience for a multi-product platform serving entrepreneurs and creators. The role sits at the intersection of monetization strategy and product design, owning surfaces such as plan selection, cart merchandising, cross-sell, and pricing pages, while serving as a player-coach who raises the craft bar across the broader commercial design community.
Responsibilities
- Lead design across plan selection, cart merchandising, and cross-sell experiences, ensuring cohesion across the full commercial ecosystem rather than isolated flows. - Partner with commercial strategy counterparts to translate pricing, packaging, bundling, discounting, and messaging requirements into flexible, reusable design patterns. - Design cross-sell placements, supporting assets, and interaction models tied to targeting strategy, building flexibility so patterns scale across product lines. - Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and revenue systems partners on customer-facing purchase and conversion flows, including shared system dependencies. - Connect discovery surfaces on the front of the site to downstream conversion journeys so the experience feels intentional from awareness through expansion. - Work alongside platform and data science teams when targeting logic or experimentation affects the user experience, ensuring personalization is designed with the customer journey in mind. - Establish patterns, principles, and standards that bring coherence across a multi-surface commercial ecosystem. - Mentor designers across the commercial growth design community, providing sharp feedback and raising the quality bar for systems, visual, and interaction craft.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product design experience at digital product companies, including time operating at a staff or equivalent level. - A portfolio demonstrating complex, systems-level work, ideally across commerce, checkout, pricing, or monetization surfaces, with clear user and business impact. - Experience leading cross-functional workstreams from ambiguity to shipped product, including setting direction, defining milestones, and aligning stakeholders. - Strong systems thinking with the ability to translate business and monetization strategy into scalable UX patterns rather than one-off flows. - Credibility partnering with product, engineering, revenue systems, and data counterparts on commercially consequential surfaces.
Nice to have
- Background designing for multi-product portfolios where patterns must hold up across offers, segments, and product lines. - Experience influencing design standards or patterns at an organizational level.
Benefits and work setup
- US cash compensation range of $200,000 to $300,000, with base salary varying by skills, experience, and location. - Eligible for equity in the form of stock options. - Remote or hybrid work setup, with reference to in-office perks including free lunch and snacks, a private rooftop, a dog-friendly workplace, employee resource groups, and two hack weeks per year.
