Security Engineer

Role overview This is a hands-on security engineering position focused on identity, endpoint, and IT operations within a fintech environment that builds financial products for businesses, individuals, and developers on emerging payment rails. The role partners closely with the Head of Security to run day-to-day systems, respond to incidents, and establish the access reviews, standards, and processes the organization will need as it grows.

Responsibilities - Administer the identity provider and SSO, enforce MFA and phishing-resistant authentication, and continuously improve how access is granted and revoked. - Run periodic access reviews and apply least-privilege principles across critical systems, including onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors. - Own MDM and EDR coverage across the device fleet, define configuration baselines, and handle device provisioning and general IT support. - Automate recurring security and IT workflows to broaden coverage and reduce manual effort. - Partner on vendor risk assessments and evaluate new SaaS and AI integrations before adoption, providing practical guidance to internal teams. - Act as a first responder for identity and endpoint incidents: investigate, contain, document, and escalate when needed, while helping mature security policies.

Requirements - Hands-on experience operating an enterprise identity platform, including SSO, MFA, and access policies. - Experience managing MDM and EDR tooling across a device fleet. - Track record responding to security incidents, compromises, or suspected breaches. - Ability to assess vendor and integration risk, including risks introduced by AI tools. - Scripting ability in Python or Bash for automation and lightweight tooling. - Strong written communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have - Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 threat models, cloud security, SIEM and detection engineering, or AI agents used inside security operations.
