Data Processing Engineer

Role overview This role focuses on parsing, cleaning, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data into a standardized schema to support a cybersecurity intelligence platform. It blends Python engineering, data engineering, and applied automation, with room to apply AI techniques to streamline ingestion pipelines.

Responsibilities - Parse, clean, and transform structured and unstructured datasets into the target schema. - Build Python-based automation and ETL-style scripts that handle messy or inconsistent inputs reliably. - Monitor the ingestion process for failures or quality issues and address them quickly. - Collaborate with teammates to design and build innovative data systems and integrations. - Develop processes, coding standards, and CI/CD pipelines to manage the parsing codebase. - Use AI to help automate the parsing of dirty datasets, and produce analyses that support marketing blog content.

Requirements - 5–7 years of professional experience as a Python developer. - Strong enthusiasm for working with data, including cleaning and transformation work. - Experience building data solutions and automation tools in Python. - Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash/ksh) and regular expressions. - Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and data processing. - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; strong communication skills; team-oriented, self-directed, and able to switch contexts as priorities shift.

Nice to have - Background or strong interest in cybersecurity. - Familiarity with Git for version control. - Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, RDS, SQS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway). - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
