A fully remote Data Analytics Engineer position focused on financial analytics, supporting the design and upkeep of data infrastructure that powers business intelligence and reporting. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering and finance, building scalable pipelines and models that turn complex financial datasets into reliable inputs for strategic decision-making while meeting regulatory and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines in SQL and Python that extract data from multiple sources and apply business-rule transformations. - Develop and update dbt data models to deliver scalable, well-structured data layers. - Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and delivery timelines. - Test, deploy, and promote changes through a controlled release process. - Monitor pipelines proactively, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve ETL reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SQL experience building complex solutions to business problems. - 5+ years of Python experience building scalable processes for business use cases. - 3+ years of hands-on data modeling experience. - Practical experience with dbt and version control using git. - Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud data tooling. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience handling confidential data within Finance or Accounting functions. - High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent practical experience accepted.
