Software Engineer, AI Data - Fort Worth, TX, USA

Role overview Build the data infrastructure that supports AI model training and new audio products. The work combines backend engineering, large-scale data processing, and collaboration with AI researchers to make training datasets more reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities - Find audio data sources and build dependable pipelines to bring them into training datasets. - Develop and improve data-processing systems, balancing quality, throughput, and operating cost. - Work with AI researchers to refine datasets and support new model development. - Own engineering projects from exploring the problem through implementation and ongoing improvements.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent practical experience. - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency with Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and running production systems; data pipelines or large-scale processing experience is especially relevant. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently when requirements are ambiguous.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed processing. - Cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with GCP and Terraform. - Familiarity with machine-learning datasets, data quality, or audio processing.
