Nice to have
- Familiarity with automated UI testing frameworks and writing unit, integration, or end-to-end UI tests. - Background optimizing desktop performance, including startup time, memory footprint, rendering performance, and high-DPI behavior. - Experience with localization, globalization, RTL UI, and accessibility across regions. - Comfort working with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, and error monitoring tools. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, release engineering, and deployment automation for desktop products.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote position within a globally distributed engineering team; no office requirement. - High-impact scope, defining the architecture and user experience of a Windows product used by millions. - Flat, collaborative engineering culture with significant autonomy and end-to-end ownership of features. - Mentorship and growth opportunities, with a path toward roles such as Tech Lead or Architect. - Mission-driven focus on building accessible, reliable software that helps people read and learn. - Sweden-based compensation in the range of 30,000–115,000 USD per year plus bonus and equity, depending on experience.
