Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Fresno, CA, USA

Role overview A Senior Software Engineer is needed to join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power a leading text-to-speech product across multiple platforms. The role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure, focused on designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance the end-user experience. This is a strategic position for someone who enjoys platform engineering in a high-growth, AI-driven audio environment, based in Fresno, California.

Responsibilities - Partner with product teams to scope projects, trim scope to gather faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across product groups - Deliver solutions through a cross-platform SDK consumed by multiple internal teams - Optimize existing functionality to improve loading speed and parsing intelligence through better abstractions and algorithms - Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs using Kotlin - Contribute to API and system design that keeps the platform simple, reliable, and maintainable

Requirements - Strong systems thinking, with a belief that simplicity is a valuable design principle - Ability to move quickly, generate multiple options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a high degree of autonomy - Demonstrated collaboration skills when working with designers, marketers, and product managers - Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (general Java experience is acceptable)
