Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Santiago, Chile

Role overview Join the Core Experiences team as a senior engineer, building the foundational services and SDKs that power a leading text-to-audio product used by millions of people. This role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure and is well suited to someone who thinks strategically, designs clean APIs, and enjoys simplifying systems with direct user impact.

Responsibilities - Partner with product teams to scope work, trim scope to get faster customer feedback, and balance UX against integration complexity - Deliver features through a cross-platform SDK shared across multiple product surfaces - Strengthen existing functionality by tightening abstractions and refining parsing, targeting faster load times and smarter content handling - Build and operate cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and asynchronous jobs in Kotlin

Requirements - End-to-end systems thinking, with a strong preference for simple, maintainable designs - A bias for speed: generate options quickly and judge pragmatically what can ship now versus later - Self-direction suited to a busy remote-first startup, knowing when to engage teammates and when to focus independently - Ability to negotiate technical and UX tradeoffs with cross-functional partners such as designers and product managers - Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (general Java background is acceptable)

Nice to have - Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform
