Role overview Take on a senior engineering role on the Core Experiences team, which builds the foundational services and SDKs that drive a widely used text-to-audio product. The work sits between product and infrastructure, ideal for engineers who enjoy designing clear APIs, simplifying systems, and shipping work that has direct user impact.
Responsibilities - Work alongside product teams to scope projects, trim scope to get faster customer feedback, and weigh UX against integration complexity - Deliver features through a cross-platform SDK that multiple product surfaces depend on - Tighten existing functionality by refining abstractions and parsing algorithms, aiming for faster load times and more intelligent content handling - Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and asynchronous jobs written in Kotlin
Requirements - Strong systems thinking, with end-to-end design instincts and a preference for simple, maintainable solutions - Comfort moving quickly, generating options, and judging what is ready to ship now versus later - Self-direction suited to a fast-growing startup, including judgment on when to collaborate and when to focus independently - Ability to negotiate technical and UX tradeoffs with cross-functional partners - Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable)
Nice to have - Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
