About this role
Role overview Become a senior engineer on the Core Experiences team, which owns the foundational services and SDKs behind a widely used text-to-audio product. The position lives at the seam between product and infrastructure and is ideal for engineers who think strategically, design clean APIs, and enjoy simplifying systems with direct user impact.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with product teams on project scoping, identifying ways to narrow scope and shorten feedback loops with customers - Navigate UX and integration tradeoffs when delivering features through a cross-platform SDK - Improve core functionality via tighter abstractions and better parsing algorithms, with goals around faster loading and more accurate content interpretation - Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs in Kotlin
Requirements - End-to-end systems thinking paired with a preference for simple, maintainable designs - A track record of moving quickly, generating options, and deciding pragmatically what to ship immediately - Comfort operating autonomously in a busy remote startup, with good judgment about when to engage and when to focus - Ability to negotiate tradeoffs with cross-functional partners including designers, marketers, and product managers - Proficiency in Kotlin Multiplatform; Java background is acceptable
Nice to have - Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform
