A fast-scaling text-to-speech platform is hiring a senior engineer to join its Core Experiences team based in Brighton, United Kingdom. Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to scope projects, trim scope for faster customer feedback, and weigh integration against UX tradeoffs - Ship capabilities through a cross-platform SDK consumed across multiple products - Improve existing features for faster load times and smarter parsing by refining abstractions and algorithms - Build and operate cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and background jobs in Kotlin - Contribute to architectural choices that keep services dependable and easy to evolve
Requirements
- Strong systems thinking, with an end-to-end view of how changes ripple across services and a bias toward simplicity - Ability to move quickly, generate options, and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time - Comfort working autonomously inside a busy, remote-first team, knowing when to engage and when to stay heads-down - Collaborative instincts for working alongside opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers - Hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform experience; general Java background is acceptable
