About this role
Role overview An automation testing role on an agile delivery team supporting government clients, including healthcare programs. The work spans test planning, execution, and reporting within sprints, with responsibility for building and maintaining end-to-end automation pipelines in AWS. It is well suited to an engineer who combines strong scripting skills with a quality-first mindset.
Responsibilities - Work as part of an agile development team performing test planning, execution, and reporting for each sprint - Participate in requirements and design walkthroughs, and lead collaborative internal and external test planning sessions - Build automation using tools such as SoapUI/ReadyAPI, Postman, RestAssured, Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit - Develop ReadyAPI projects that verify web service functionality and implement end-to-end automation frameworks - Maintain and streamline a CI/CD pipeline on AWS using JIRA, Jenkins, and ReadyAPI, configuring CI for build, unit, integration, and deployment stages - Design, configure, and test AWS infrastructure components and integrate AI frameworks into testing workflows - Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to develop test cases, scenarios, and expected results - Peer-review test cases, capture test evidence, and document results
Requirements - 3-5 years of overall experience in Selenium, Playwright, and API testing - 2-3 years working within AWS and knowledge of databases such as Postgres - 3+ years building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like Cucumber or TestNG - Strong programming skills in Java and/or JavaScript - Experience with build and version control tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git - 3-5 years of API testing experience using ReadyAPI, Postman, or RestAssured - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; must have lived in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years
Nice to have - Experience automating test execution in containerized environments - Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence - Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools - Prior experience with CMS platforms or testing complex healthcare systems
