Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own a defined product area for teams operating Kubernetes or Ansible in production, guiding it from customer discovery through delivery, launch, and adoption. The role combines technical product management with hands-on understanding of infrastructure-as-code workflows, requiring close collaboration with engineering, design, go-to-market, customer-facing, and support teams. You will investigate real operational problems, make evidence-based investment decisions, and turn validated needs into products customers can use.
Responsibilities
- Interview platform engineers, DevOps teams, infrastructure leaders, prospects, and customers to understand production workflows and pain points. - Combine qualitative feedback with product usage, support cases, commercial input, and market research to identify high-value problems. - Define product requirements, success measures, recommendations, specifications, and decision records. - Prioritize initiatives by customer value, strategic fit, effort, risk, and expected learning. - Partner with Design to explore, prototype, validate, and refine solutions, and with Engineering to manage scope and trade-offs. - Coordinate launch readiness across marketing, sales, customer success, and support, then use adoption data and feedback to guide follow-up decisions.
Requirements
- At least three years of product management experience, including independent ownership of a technical B2B product or product area from discovery through adoption. - Hands-on production experience with either Kubernetes or Ansible, gained in product management, engineering, solutions engineering, or a comparable technical role. - Ability to explain relevant Kubernetes or Ansible workflows and the operational or organizational challenges teams encounter. - Working familiarity with Terraform or OpenTofu concepts such as Git-based changes, plan and apply, state, policy, and drift. - Strong ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative evidence into clear product decisions. - Strong written and spoken English, at approximately B2 level or above, and residence in Europe.
Nice to have
- Experience with both Kubernetes and Ansible. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, OPA/Rego, CI/CD, RBAC, audit systems, internal developer platforms, B2B SaaS, or developer tools. - Experience using SQL, product analytics, or AI tools for research and analysis. - Familiarity with evidence-led product practices such as Working Backwards or 5 Questions.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first work options in a Europe-based role. - Flexible work environment and collaboration across product, engineering, design, commercial, and customer teams.
