About this role
Role overview A staff-level product role defining the strategic vision for the search experience on a global online learning platform serving hundreds of millions of learners. The position leads the evolution of discovery into an AI-driven, personalized, and multilingual journey across courses, credentials, and skill paths. The PM partners closely with engineering, design, ML, data science, research, and partnership teams to shape the learner experience.
Responsibilities - Set the long-term vision for next-generation discovery and search capabilities - Own conversational search experiences integrated throughout the learner journey - Improve result relevance through query understanding, embeddings, semantic search, and personalized ranking - Run rapid A/B and multivariate experiments to validate opportunities and measure impact - Define and track KPIs tied to conversion, merchandising, and learner outcomes - Collaborate with marketing, growth, and partnership teams to align on revenue and engagement goals
Requirements - Five or more years of product management experience owning a consumer-facing product with revenue responsibility - Two or more years focused specifically on search, personalization, or recommendation features - Demonstrated success shipping complex initiatives from ideation through launch - Strong command of quantitative experimentation and qualitative research methods - Track record influencing and aligning cross-functional teams through clear communication - Experience scaling platform-level capabilities serving multiple use cases
Nice to have - Four or more years on a product team at a large e-commerce company - 0-to-1 product experience with measurable post-launch results - Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field
