Business Intelligence Data Analyst

Role overview A centralized Business Intelligence Analyst role responsible for delivering decision-grade reporting and analytics across the organization. The position partners with business stakeholders on KPIs, raises data quality with the data engineering team, and enables self-service BI through documentation and training.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that support multiple business functions. - Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into usable reporting solutions. - Validate source data and monitor report outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trustworthy definitions. - Partner with Data Engineering to shape analytical requirements, data models, and transformation logic. - Support self-service BI users through documentation, communications, and training materials. - Document KPI definitions, data lineage, and reporting assumptions for consistency across teams. - Spot opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks and improve refresh reliability.

Requirements

- Prior experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a comparable data role. - Strong SQL skills, including CTEs and window functions for data manipulation. - Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and core data warehouse concepts. - Proficiency in Power BI covering DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and dashboard design, or equivalent visualization tooling. - Ownership mindset with strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills. - Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and translate analysis into actionable insights.

Nice to have

- Experience with SMS or text messaging platforms and CPaaS ecosystems. - Background in payments services or related financial workflows. - Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation data sources such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
