Role overview A co-op or intern software engineering role on the Agents team of a cloud-based video security and operational insights platform. The position provides hands-on experience in full-stack development across both front-end and back-end components, working alongside experienced developers to contribute to production features in a fast-paced R&D environment. The work focuses on building agent-driven capabilities that turn existing camera systems into intelligent sensors for security and operations teams.
Responsibilities - Support the development of new features from initial design through implementation, under the guidance of senior developers. - Write, test, and debug code to deliver high-quality software, participate in code reviews, and help maintain coding standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Assist in documenting new features and enhancements to keep them easy to understand and maintain. - Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and trends, and actively seek feedback and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements - Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program, seeking a co-op or internship placement. - Proficiency in TypeScript or a similar language, with TypeScript preferred. - Familiarity with at least one front-end framework such as React, plus a basic understanding of back-end languages and frameworks such as Node.js. - Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for quality. - Comfort working independently, taking initiative, and asking questions when guidance is needed. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, familiarity with Git and version control best practices, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
Nice to have - Exposure to cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud. - Experience with REST APIs. - Prior experience in a high-velocity startup or AI-first environment.
