Support Engineer - Industrial Water Treatment

Role overview Provide on-site technical support for industrial water treatment programs at customer facilities in the New York and New Jersey area. The work combines routine testing, chemical program adjustments, equipment upkeep, inventory handling, and regular coordination with customer personnel to improve process performance.

Responsibilities - Collect and monitor process samples, record results, and contribute to customer service reports. - Discuss chemical or equipment concerns with customer staff and alert the site manager to issues or opportunities. - Adjust chemical feed rates based on testing, and conduct additional process checks to identify dosage improvements or mechanical effects. - Manage chemical inventory, deliveries, transfers, and offloading into customer storage tanks. - Set up, maintain, install, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment; support laboratory testing and customer trials. - Work with the site team and mill personnel to maintain effective customer relationships and program performance.

Requirements - A science or other technical bachelor's degree, or relevant experience in place of a degree. - Ability to investigate complex, non-routine technical problems and take initiative in resolving them. - Strong relationship-building skills and willingness to learn the industry and treatment technologies. - Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for records and reporting. - Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record; must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
