Product Owner , Intermediate - Remote Canada

Role overview An intermediate Product Owner opportunity focused on internal technical product operations and Agile execution for a FHIR-based clinical data platform used across more than 20 countries. The role partners closely with market-focused Product Managers to translate strategic roadmaps into actionable development plans and quarterly workplans for a flagship healthcare data repository.

Responsibilities - Own the product backlog and monthly/quarterly cadence, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing feature development, and minimizing roadblocks for engineering teams - Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives - Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned platform, identifying and removing technical and organizational blockers that impede sprint progress - Guide cross-functional teams in Agile methodologies and Scrum best practices to foster continuous improvement and high performance - Track, analyze, and communicate team velocity, sprint progress, and agile metrics to ensure goals are met - Collaborate with peer groups across Marketing, Revenue Operations, Licensing, Training, Legal, and related functions throughout the product realization process

Requirements - 6+ years of technical product management, product owner, or related experience combined with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle - Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent working experience - Demonstrated user-centric mindset with applied experience in user testing and validation techniques - Proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients, UX specialists, engineers, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders in consultative, client-facing settings - Self-directed, proactive, results-oriented approach with strong time-management skills - Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence solutions and translate complex technical concepts to varied audiences

Nice to have - Formal training in a reputable product management framework - Software architecture, development, or technical implementation experience - Familiarity with FHIR (HAPI FHIR a plus), HL7 v2, SMART on FHIR, APIs, OAuth2/OIDC/SAML/LDAP, Master Data Management, terminology standards (LOINC, SNOMED, UCUM, ICD-10), consent management, and clinical reasoning
