Role overview
Senior Root Cause Analysis Engineer protecting product brand quality through evidence-based failure analysis of medium-voltage power systems, including transformers, switchgear, and converters. The role partners with cross-functional and international teams to drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Ensure analyses are evidence-based, well documented, and aligned with internal standards, global processes, and stakeholder requirements. - Perform technical failure and data analyses and apply the 8D method for systematic root cause identification. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary and international teams to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. - Conduct initial site analyses and on-site technical evaluations, providing technical consultation to customers and internal teams. - Document known failure patterns and provide technical expertise to resolve them, partnering closely with customer quality, supplier quality, and regional functions. - Execute, monitor, and evaluate corrective actions implemented by service teams and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent); master's degree preferred. - Minimum 7 years in research and development, technical failure analysis, and quality management, with a customer-relations background. - Technical expertise in medium-voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, electrical systems, and converters. - Proficiency with the 8D method and quality tools such as 5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, and Pareto analysis. - Experience in solar, automotive, aerospace, electronics, or another regulated industry. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and international teams, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
