Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (Attack & User Emulation)
Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior frontend engineer is needed to build the primary control surfaces and dynamic visualizations for a cyber range platform used to configure, simulate, and analyze offensive security scenarios and realistic user personas. The position sits at the intersection of complex backend simulation capabilities, real-time telemetry, and AI agent communication, turning them into polished human-in-the-loop web experiences.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript, with a focus on streaming interfaces and interactive visualization. - Lead end-to-end technical execution for major frontend features, including real-time data displays (WebSockets, SSE) and AI/MCP protocol integrations. - Improve client-side performance, code reusability, test coverage, and WCAG accessibility standards across the application. - Tackle complex visualization problems involving large datasets, interactive network topology, and agentic workflows. - Collaborate with UX designers on feasibility and partner with backend engineers to define API contracts and integration boundaries. - Conduct thorough code reviews, champion frontend engineering standards, and mentor teammates.
Requirements - 6+ years of professional experience shipping complex, scalable web applications. - Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, modern state management, and web performance optimization. - Hands-on experience integrating real-time data streams (WebSockets, SSE) and complex backend or AI protocols. - Strong foundation in UI testing (unit, integration, E2E) and WCAG accessibility standards. - Proven ability to weigh trade-offs between UX polish, performance, and delivery speed.
Nice to have - Experience displaying ML/RL decisions, confidence metrics, or agentic behaviors in user interfaces. - Familiarity with shared design systems (Storybook, Figma workflows) and complex data visualization libraries. - Exposure to cybersecurity concepts, containerized development (Docker/Kubernetes), or CI/CD pipelines.
