Data Scientist - Navy

Role overview Support enterprise data management and analysis for a U.S. Navy mission. The work focuses on building dependable data foundations—databases, models, governance, and structured workflows—alongside analytical models that help organizations make informed decisions. This is a remote, mid-to-senior level position requiring an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and optimize databases and structured data systems for enterprise information needs. - Create and manage data models, schemas, dictionaries, and standards to support consistency across systems. - Run data quality checks and validation processes, and support governance requirements. - Design workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and lifecycle management. - Build analytical models for scenario analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment. - Develop scripts and automated workflows, collaborate on technical requirements, and recommend improvements to data capabilities and integrations.

Requirements - An active Secret security clearance. - Experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions at an enterprise level. - Skills in database development, data modeling, and structured data workflows. - Ability to establish data quality and governance practices that protect accuracy and consistency. - Analytical modeling experience, including forecasting, scenario analysis, or risk assessment. - Ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions and provide guidance on data management practices.
