Field Support Representative (Customer Service) - Toledo, OH

Role overview A field Member Care role supporting members of a health insurance plan across Ohio, combining on-site client visits with traditional phone, chat, and email support. The representative partners with Account Management, Claims, and Provider teams to help group members use their benefits effectively. Candidates must currently reside in the Toledo or Columbus, Ohio area.

Responsibilities - Visit client sites across Ohio to support members in using their health plan benefits. - Provide in-person assistance to client groups during escalated situations and key post-enrollment moments. - Partner with Account Management to identify and build positive relationships with key contacts and HR stakeholders at client organizations. - Handle inbound member calls, web chats, and emails as part of standard member care duties. - Deliver timely, positive customer service and resolve issues at first contact where possible. - Build lasting rapport with members to understand needs and ensure a strong experience at every touchpoint.

Requirements - Residence in the Toledo or Columbus, Ohio area. - Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel up to 30% across Ohio to visit groups and members on-site, with travel expenses fully reimbursed. - Track record of reliability, accountability, and strong communication while working independently. - Proactive mindset and strong problem-solving ability to turn challenges into solutions. - Comfort educating members on plan best practices and creating a positive experience at every interaction. - Empathy, relationship-building skills, and flexible, open schedule availability.
