Role overview This is a field-based member support role focused on helping healthcare plan members navigate their benefits across the state of Georgia. The position blends in-person client visits with traditional contact center work, acting as the on-the-ground bridge between members, group clients, and internal account management teams.
Responsibilities - Travel to client worksites across Georgia to meet members in person and walk them through plan features, benefits, and care access - Serve as the in-person escalation point for group clients following enrollment and during periods of heightened need - Partner with account management to build relationships with HR contacts and key stakeholders at client organizations - Handle inbound member support through phone calls, web chat, and email inquiries - Turn member questions, complaints, and confusion into clear resolutions with a positive, empathetic approach - Maintain ongoing rapport with existing members so their experience feels personal and consistent
Requirements - Must reside in or near the Atlanta or Macon, Georgia area and have reliable personal transportation - Willingness and ability to drive several hours across the state for on-site visits (travel expenses reimbursed) - Strong communication, accountability, and the independence to manage a territory with minimal supervision - Real-time problem-solving skills with the ability to defuse issues and find workable solutions - Open schedule availability to accommodate field visits and member support needs
Nice to have - Bilingual language skills - Prior experience in healthcare, health insurance, or a related benefits environment - Interest in growing into broader responsibilities through cross-team visibility
