Solutions Engineer

Role overview Help mid-market merchants evaluate and adopt technical solutions that support their business goals. You will partner with sales, implementation, and customer success teams to understand each merchant’s operations, demonstrate relevant platform capabilities, and guide a practical path from technical discovery through launch.

Responsibilities - Discover merchants’ strategic goals, technical environments, and requirements, then shape solutions that address them. - Support sales evaluations through demonstrations, warehouse tours, RFPs, vendor assessments, and technical reviews. - Translate complex requirements into a clear solution design, technical vision, and implementation roadmap. - Coordinate with implementation specialists to keep launches on schedule, within budget, and tied to measurable outcomes. - Keep current on industry developments and service offerings, and communicate relevant product capabilities to customers. - Share customer feedback with product teams to inform roadmap decisions and feature improvements.

Requirements - Five to seven years of hands-on experience supporting merchants in SaaS and e-commerce settings. - Ability to turn business challenges into scalable technical solutions that support growth and operational efficiency. - Working fluency with APIs, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python or Ruby. - Experience influencing stakeholders across sales, product, engineering, and implementation teams. - Strong customer communication skills, including explaining technical concepts and building alignment. - Ability to develop repeatable processes, documentation, and practices that improve solution engineering work.
