About this role

Role overview

Lead the design of modern, enterprise-scale data platforms in a senior presales architecture role. You will translate complex business and technical requirements into secure, scalable data engineering solutions, guide client discussions, and help shape implementation strategies for cloud-based analytics, lakehouse, warehousing, and AI workloads.

Responsibilities

- Partner with sales and delivery teams to understand client objectives, technical constraints, and modernization priorities. - Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, assessments, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. - Design end-to-end architectures covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, warehousing, real-time processing, governance, and analytics. - Prepare technical proposals, implementation roadmaps, cost estimates, statements of work, and service recommendations. - Define data pipelines, streaming architectures, CI/CD practices, infrastructure-as-code approaches, and performance improvements. - Collaborate with governance and AI specialists to ensure data platforms support policy requirements and machine-learning or large-language-model workloads.

Requirements

- At least 10 years of experience in data architecture and engineering, including large-scale solution delivery and substantial presales work. - Strong expertise with modern cloud data platforms, lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, Spark-based processing, and real-time analytics. - Proficiency with cloud data warehouses, data lakes, managed Spark services, relational databases, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and streaming systems. - Experience with DevOps, infrastructure as code, data governance, and performance tuning. - Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and client relationship skills. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.

Nice to have

Relevant cloud architecture, data engineering, analytics, or database certifications are preferred.
